Who I Am

I'm Cole — the other half of the payout testing operation at VignettesYEG. Marcus and I have been friends since our University of Alberta days, where we spent more time arguing about poker strategy in HUB Mall than attending lectures. When he started timing casino withdrawals in 2021 and realised one person couldn't keep up with 84 casinos on a rolling 90-day cycle, I was the obvious recruit.

My day job is in IT project management, which means I'm wired to track things in spreadsheets. Marcus jokes that I turned his chaotic withdrawal tracking into an actual system. He's not wrong.

How I Got Involved

Marcus called me in early 2022. He'd been testing casinos solo for over a year and was drowning in data — 50+ casinos, multiple payment methods per site, withdrawals that needed re-testing every quarter. He needed someone who could run parallel withdrawal tests while he focused on the full review write-ups.

I started with a simple job: deposit at the same casinos Marcus was reviewing and request withdrawals through different payment methods. He'd test Interac, I'd test crypto. He'd withdraw on a Monday morning, I'd withdraw on a Friday night. The goal was to see if payout speeds varied by method and timing — and they absolutely do.

Within six months, we had the most comprehensive Canadian payout dataset either of us had ever seen. Different methods, different days, different amounts — all timed to the minute. That parallel testing approach is now core to how VignettesYEG works.

What I Focus On

My specialty is crypto and eWallet payouts. I've tested every Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum withdrawal option available to Canadian players, along with eTransfer, MuchBetter, and the various eWallet services casinos offer.

Crypto withdrawals are a different beast from Interac. Processing times depend on blockchain congestion, casino-side approval delays, and minimum withdrawal thresholds that vary wildly between sites. I track all of it so you don't have to guess whether a casino's "instant crypto withdrawal" claim is real or marketing.

I also handle the weekend and off-hours testing. A lot of casinos advertise 24-hour payouts but quietly batch process on weekdays only. Friday evening withdrawal requests are the real stress test — and the results are often very different from what you'd see on a Tuesday afternoon.
